DOHA METRO – QATAR RAIL
Doha Metro is a planned rapid transit system in Qatar’s capital city that is scheduled to become operational by the end of 2019. The metro system will be built in two phases: the first will see the construction of three out of the four lines (Red, Gold, and Green) and 37 stations. These lines are expected to be open to the public by 2019/2020
NEW DOHA PORT
New Doha Port It is considered to be the largest port development project in the world to be built on unused land. The port includes five cargo terminals and berths, four container terminals and berths, a roll-on/roll-off berth, a livestock berth, an administration and customs complex, and a tug and pilot boats berths area. It also includes the construction of a naval forces base and an 8.5 kilometer long trestle bridge. 65 % of AJCI GGBFS incorporated in concrete mixes to built the durable concrete structures in harsh marine environment .
Mega Reservoir Project
Mega Reservoir Project entails construction of five potable water mega reservoirs sites and interconnecting network of large diameter water pipelines. Each reservoirs site will ultimately comprise up to nine reservoirs, each of which will be the largest of their type in the world. First phase of the project, which is currently under construction in five strategic locations
Ras laffan Port expansion
Ambitious expansion project of QP in North Field , It is the largest single non associated gas field in the world. QP awarded the EPIC contract to the JV of CCC and Teyseer contracting . Ras Laffan Port Expansion Project located to 80 KM north of Doha, includes the construction of all quay walls for the liquid products berths, navy and coast guard berths together with administrative buildings and expanded port breakwater and cause ways
Mass concreting during hot weather was a critical aspect of concreting therefore AJCI GGBFS has been used in the concrete .AJCI has supplied there GGBFS and NC cement to produce 125,000 m3 of quality concrete while controlling the fresh concrete temperature in hot weather well within the range
Pearl GTL
Pearl GTL (gas-to-liquids) is the world’s largest plant to turn natural gas into cleaner-burning fuels and lubricants. Plant helps to meet the world’s growing demand for cleaner energy. For the GTL Project, the concrete exposed to harsh marine environment therefore AJCI GGBFS was the customers choice to produce durable and sulfate resistant concrete ,mix contains 70% GGBFS . Concrete work were awarded to Rabban-MedGulf JV.
From mid 2007 onwards until 2010 it has supplied in excess of 750,000 m3 of concrete for which around 250,000 Mt of GGBFS have been supplied in bulk by tankers at constant quality and without interruption from Aljabor cement Industries co.
Msheireb Downtown
Msheireb Downtown is a developing area with contemporary architecture, gleaming white mosques, and a cluster of history museums housed in elegant, Arabic-style mansions. Qatari family life is portrayed in Radwani House, while Bin Jalmood House has exhibitions on worldwide slavery. Eating options include global dining in high-end hotels, while the popular souvenir stalls and arcades of Souq Waqif are nearby
ORBITAL HIGHWAY PROJECT
New Orbital Highway and Truck road is a project that aims to resolve traffic flow issues into and out of Doha and between North and South by connecting northern and southern Qatar. It consists of approximately 48 km of road network and a total of five interchanges which comprise many bridges and flyovers . Durable structure was the critical aspect which customer achieved by incorporating 65 % of AJCI GGBFS. Total concrete requirement is approx. 1.4 million m3 . Project is under construction phase and AJCI is being supplying its high quality GGBFS .
QETAIFAN ISLANDS
